An Open Letter to Hiring Managers & Recruiters

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my work.

I am a global experiential strategy and brand engagement leader with nearly two decades of experience designing large-scale engagement platforms that connect brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and audience engagement. Throughout my career, I have led conferences, exhibitions, executive experiences, and enterprise engagement programs across Canada, the United States, and international markets.

Recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 in the Global Events Industry, my work sits at the intersection of experiential strategy, brand engagement, and operational execution. I specialize in building scalable engagement ecosystems that support organizational objectives, strengthen brand visibility, and create meaningful experiences for customers, partners, and employees.

A defining aspect of my work has been leading highly complex program environments that require alignment across multiple stakeholders, business units, and external partners. In one role, I simultaneously managed a portfolio of more than 48 active events, coordinating planning, logistics, and strategic objectives across internal teams while ensuring consistent execution and brand alignment across each program.

Much of my work has involved collaborating with external agencies, production partners, creative teams, and specialized contractors to deliver conferences, trade shows, and large-scale exhibitions. This includes developing expo and conference strategies such as exhibition floor planning, booth design and builds, sponsorship integration, and experiential activations that strengthen brand presence and engagement on the show floor.

I regularly partner with marketing leaders, executive stakeholders, and business unit owners, providing structured reporting and strategic updates to ensure alignment across initiatives and maintain visibility into program performance and priorities.

Having worked both client-side and planner-side on major exhibition programs, I bring a practical understanding of how to coordinate agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to execute high-performing event experiences.

My career has been defined not just by delivering events, but by building the systems that allow organizations to scale experiential programs effectively.

This includes:

  • Developing enterprise experiential programs across North America

  • Establishing vendor ecosystems and negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSAs)

  • Designing governance frameworks and operational workflows

  • Aligning experiential initiatives with travel programs, procurement, and corporate policy

  • Leading cross-agency teams and global stakeholders across multiple regions

My approach combines strategic thinking with operational discipline. I am known for negotiating strong vendor partnerships, building efficient program infrastructures, and delivering measurable value.

For example, during a recent global event program, my sourcing and negotiation strategies resulted in $45,000 in direct catering savings and $60,000 in agency cost avoidance, while successfully bringing logistics operations in-house that had previously required an external team.

Equally important to me is the way work gets done. Colleagues and partners consistently describe my leadership as resourceful, collaborative, and solution-focused, highlighting my ability to navigate complex projects, maintain strong communication with stakeholders, and ensure programs run smoothly behind the scenes.

At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy:

Experiences matter.

When thoughtfully designed and strategically aligned, experiential programs become powerful tools for building relationships, strengthening brand trust, and creating lasting engagement with the audiences organizations serve.

If you are exploring leadership talent in experiential strategy, global events, brand engagement, or enterprise engagement programs, I would welcome the opportunity to connect.

Warm regards,
Natasha Botbijl
